Characters are counted when new text is translated for the first time. Once translated, the result is cached — repeat visits and returning visitors don't use any characters. In practice, a typical 10-page site uses around 15,000–30,000 characters per language.

Verbi keeps serving your site — visitors still see translations from cache. Only brand-new, never-before-seen text stops being translated until the next billing cycle. You can upgrade your plan at any time to resume translating new content immediately.

Plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and we prorate the difference.
